Mobile Vet in Parkville

We contacted First Paw Mobile Vet as we couldn't get an appointment at our local vet. Our cat (Tiger) had been involved in a fight and was injured so he needed attention. Dr Laurence was amazing! He arrived on time, was very gentle and attentive to Tiger. Checked him out, treated the injury, gave him the necessary injections and medication and even followed up on Tiger's recovery a few times. Something our local vet had never done. Having Dr Laurence come to the house to treat our cat saved us and Tiger a lot of stress and anxiety by not having to get Tiger in the basket/cage( which is always a challenge) and wait in a waiting room. Highly recommend First Paw Mobile Vet and will definitely use again!

Highly recommend Laurence and “first paws”. Laurence was super responsive, I was able to book an appointment for the next day. Laurence provided assessment for my kitty cat and was able to administer and prescribe pain relief all without me having to leave home and trying to get an unhappy cat to the vet. Laurence is a fantastic vet with a gentle touch. My Leo went through multiple surgeries and vet stays last year and as a result, is terrified of vet visits. Laurence took the time to let Leo check him out and become comfortable with him before he tried to examine him. It made a huge difference to a cat that usually has to be sedated before he can be treated. I’m not sure Leo even noticed the vaccination he was given. Having a vet come to me instead of putting Leo through the stress of a car ride and unfamiliar space made for a very relaxed cat. Laurence was thorough and ask all the right questions so I was as relaxed as the cat knowing he was in good hands. I highly recommend this service and would definitely use it again.

This is a fantastic service, the vet (Laurence) was great, he was very well organised and thourough. It was a much better experience having him come to us, more relaxed for us and our pets. Laurence is very approachable and knowledable so he will answer any questions and explains everything very well. Prices are very reasonable, so even with the call out fee it was still cheaper than visiting a vet sugery, great value. I have recommended this service to everyone I know and will be a loyal customer myself from now on.

Recently, in a time of need for my elderly German Shepherd, I discovered Dr Laurence. Dr Laurence proved to be quite an incredible young man, someone who took the time to understand the situation completely, who with his calm and honest presence gave me the confidence and trust in him that his treatment for my canine friend would be most appropriate. I can attest to the fact that his understanding of the situation and decisive, careful yet no fuss action meant my dog’s difficult problem has completely healed and her spirits are revived. I do not hesitate to recommend DrLaurence, not only for his skill as a vet but his considerate kindness, not only to my dog but extended to myself. I thought, after he left what an unusual and amazing experience – very streamlined, as if we had been visited by a light-footed superhero. I recommend him highly.

Booked in with Dr Laurence to get my cats vaxxed and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The cost of the appointment was on par and if not cheaper than the cost of travelling to a Vet, but more importantly, the service was incredible. Both of my cats immediately warmed up to him, including the more anxious and skittish one. I booked in to get their vaccinations topped up but left it with so much more information to continue supporting my cats’ lives and wellbeing. Thank you!!

Laurence and his mobile vet service has been a God-send. I have a three year old cat who is very skittish and ran away for five days last time I took him to the vet. Upon arrival, Laurence stayed in his car and called me so we could work out our strategy re Laurence coming into the house and Gavin my cat being in the right spot where he couldn’t hide or cause harm to Laurence or myself. Laurence was so understanding about my stress levels and the stress levels of Gavin and we worked together to make it a successful visit and I was thrilled to have my furry boy vaccinated for another year. He also had a quick look at my puppy dog’s teeth and confirmed its time to have them cleaned. Thank you Laurence, I will be making you a firm part of my furry family.
