- Emergencies
We do not offer emergency phone consultations due to the nature of our delayed online appointment scheduling. We strongly advise immediate contact/referral to your local vet hospital or emergency centre with any pet emergency. Local Emergency Hospitals can be found here. - Limitations
Please note that First Paw Phone Consultations is not a replacement for physical examinations but an accessible tool that complements in-person and in-clinic vet care. As we cannot physically examine your pet, we cannot provide a confirmed diagnosis. - Prescriptions
Sometimes we can issue scripts by phone for pets we've already examined. Whether that's appropriate depends on the pet, the medication and how recently we saw them, so it's a case by case call rather than something we can promise in advance.If we haven't examined your pet, we can't prescribe from a phone consultation. Book a home visit and we'll go from there.
