Awesome service provided by veterinarian, Laurence, during the stage 4 COVID-19 lockdown. We started to notice that our border collie was having some issues related to his rear-end and our cat hat been scratching at his face near his ear. We didn't want to deal with the logistics and risk of transporting both pets and also all the additional measures required due to the lockdown at our regular clinic. We setup an online appointment via the website and Laurence arrived right at the scheduled appointment time. We did a 15-minute phone consultation before Laurence entered the property. Laurence was very thorough with the examination and also provided a full general health check on our pets. Very kind and considerate and talked us through all the examinations and provided a lot of background on what was happening, also checking in a few days later. Really lifted the bar beyond what we were used to with our other highly-rated and regarded local clinic, would definitely use the service again without hesitation.
I recently booked in to have my chihuahua vaccinated and his eye checked. Dr Laurence was extremely helpful in fixing his eye problem & was very knowledgeable while vaccinating the puppy. I would highly recommend this service & will be using them ongoing. Thank you so much!

The absolute best doctor for your baby. He was so friendly and helpful. So knowledgeable and super thorough with his diagnosis. He was so gentle to my baby girl Duri and his prices were honestly so good!! While other money hungry clinics were charging 200 dollars for a 5 min consultation, he went out of his ways to call before entering my house to ask about her temperament, her diet, her history,.. EVERYTHING!! He didn’t even mind coming into my bathroom do all the examinations because of how anxious Duri was. Literal god sent. Could not recommend more!! Soooo convenient in terms of not having to travel anywhere but also reduces the stress of being in a carrier for my cat. She got noticeably better after just two days too!! I honestly cannot thank Dr. Laurence enough- you can really tell he does this job because he actually cares! ❤️
We found First Paw Mobile Vet on Instagram and booked our Burmese kitten in to have a check up and his third vaccination. Laurence happily answered all of our Cat questions, checked our boy Banjo over and administered his vaccinations all in the comfort of our home. Being a busy working family with three kids, this was the perfect solution for us to take the stress out of getting in to a clinc. Laurence from First Paw was brilliant and I would totally recommend this service. I have a 13 year old Keeshond who has a medical history that would rival most humans and therefore it is almost impossible to get her into the car and to the vets. Laurence was the 14th mobile vet I had called ( none of the others would service my area no matter how ill my pet was). Laurence promptly returned my call and after asking questions he had a fairly good idea of what he was dealing with. Happy to attend the same day and after hours, Laurence called to confirm he was on his way and came spot on the allotted time. He carefully checked Keera’s vitals first and then went on to clean and medicate what turned out to be an open wound that was weeping and bleeding. Laurence explained everything step of the procedure as he went and Keera was calm throughout the entire experience. Add to this, I also received a follow up text the next day to see how the patient was doing. I have used other home vets previously and none have been as thorough and genuinely concerned for Keera’s wellbeing. I would highly recommended and definitely use this service again!!

My furbaby hates the cat carrier and since I live alone and don’t drive, getting her check up and vaccination done would have been very difficult without the mobile vet! Very friendly and thorough and unlike many vets didn’t treat a cat as less important than other pets. Highly recommend!

Laurence and his mobile vet service has been a God-send. I have a three year old cat who is very skittish and ran away for five days last time I took him to the vet. Upon arrival, Laurence stayed in his car and called me so we could work out our strategy re Laurence coming into the house and Gavin my cat being in the right spot where he couldn’t hide or cause harm to Laurence or myself. Laurence was so understanding about my stress levels and the stress levels of Gavin and we worked together to make it a successful visit and I was thrilled to have my furry boy vaccinated for another year. Requested Dr Laurence come to my house for my cute Bengal kittens final F3 shot. He was so lovely, my kitten was really non fussed by the experience. Dr Laurence then checked in with me a couple of days later to make sure she was alright. She was and so was I as the worried cat mama, so I’ll definitely be calling on First Paws again next time I need a vet.

We contacted First Paw Mobile Vet as we couldn't get an appointment at our local vet. Our cat (Tiger) had been involved in a fight and was injured so he needed attention. Dr Laurence was amazing! He arrived on time, was very gentle and attentive to Tiger. Checked him out, treated the injury, gave him the necessary injections and medication and even followed up on Tiger's recovery a few times. Something our local vet had never done. Having Dr Laurence come to the house to treat our cat saved us and Tiger a lot of stress and anxiety by not having to get Tiger in the basket/cage( which is always a challenge) and wait in a waiting room. Highly recommend First Paw Mobile Vet and will definitely use again!

Dr. Laurence is a life saver! My cat Ralphie needs to be sedated every time we go to the vet just for a physical, so we decide to use First Paw, and everything went smoothly. Dr. Laurence was able to give Ralphie a physical and shots without struggle at all! He even gave Ralphie a treat at the end to make sure it was a great experience for him! Dr. Laurence made a normally stressful experience for us, stress free.
I was really impressed by the service from Dr Laurence. My previous mobile vet had shut down so I found First Paw Mobile through an internet search and was able to get an appointment in less than a week to undertake an annual health check for my cat. Dr Laurence conducts a quick five-minute call with you prior to entering the property so he can get background information on your pet and to identify the best way to care for it during the visit. Once inside, he was very caring with my cat, making sure he didn't do anything to cause any stress. Dr Laurence did a full check and was able to vaccinate my cat, which was great given cat vaccines are hard to come by in Australia at the moment. He also provided guidance on cat teeth cleaning (I had not been made aware of this from previous vets) and gave information and advice on how to manage and seek treatment. Five days after my visit, Dr Laurence followed up with a message to see how my cat was and if there were any issues following the vaccination. To me, this really showed the good level of service that First Paw Mobile provides to ensure your pet is safe and well. I will definitely be using First Paw Mobile going forward and would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to use a mobile / home visit service.

Laurence is an amazing vet. Our dog, Scruffy, is very nervous around new people. He made him feel relaxed and calm. He also got the medicine that we needed for him fast and called us to schedule the visit as soon as the medicine arrived. He is fast, reliable, and cares a lot about animals. Laurence was awesome. My cat, Muse, who was adopted from the RSCPA started to have a bit of nausea. Laurence was able to come to us after 6pm, (during the COVID lockdowns as well) to give Muse a check up. Text message follow ups are also really personable. Muse seemed to warm up to a vet rather quickly and was much more relaxed at home. Will be using Laurence for future check ups!

My little fur baby is not a great car traveler, and with the current COVID climate, our vet's policy is she would have to wait in her carrier in the car at the vet prior to her appointment, so to save her anxiety levels (and mine) I decided to give First Paw a go when she needed a check over recently. I was so impressed with Laurence and his professionalism, caring nature and knowledge. He rang me from the car to get a full history on my kitty, and talked me through his process for when he came inside. I mentioned to him that our last vet told me I had very anxious kitten as she would shake and try to wriggle away from the vet every time we went. But not with Laurence, he came into the home with his friendly nature and my little one went right up to him for a sniff over and rarely left the area he was in the whole time. He gave her his full attention for more than the allotted time, left me a sample that he thought might help, and followed up a few days later to see how she was going. Overall, the whole process was so easy and convenient, I'll definitely be using Laurence & First Paw again and would highly recommend him.

Had great service from Lawrence who was away on leave, but still called me back regarding our new puppys health check enquriy, and whilst he wasnt able to see us at the last minute which was completly reasonable, even took the time to answer questions, give further recommendations to others and also sent a free e book, will defintely keep in mind for our next visit.

We have an extremely anxious dog so vet visits are really stressful for him. I was hoping First Paw mobile vet would be a better experience and it 100% was. Laurence was very patient, he took the time to listen to the concerns and to get a thorough background history. He was awesome with our dog, and basically accomplished more in 30 minutes than we've ever been able to do at a vet office. Laurence was also good at explaining everything and followed up the next day. I would highly recommend First Paw and definitely will be using them again!

Then on meeting they were very patient and calm allowing my cats to smell and accept them before conducting the assessment and treatment. I have a senior cat who stresses terribly whenever we have to travel to see a vet. This was a great alternative for his health check and vaccination. Booking was very easy and Dr Laurence was great with my cat (who is often very cranky with strangers). He offered great health advice and provided some good recommendations for various products. Lawrence is a wonderful vet. He called me before coming into my home and asked a lot of questions about my cat Jimmi. So he is really thorough, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately Jimmi isn't a fan of strangers or strange people touching her (same 😆) But with some sedation on her second visit, he managed to do a thorough examination and vaccination. And also gave me some great advice on what to look for when finding a vet to do her dental work. Will definitely be using his services for any future issues with Jimmi.

Laurence paid our cat Toto a visit last week and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very thorough in explanation of what his skin related issues may be and organised a course of medication. He then followed up to see how Toto was going after a few days of being on the medication. I highly recommend First Paw, particularly with pets that don’t travel particularly well.

Our first visit from Dr Laurence was fantastic. We have 4 furry family members (2 dogs and 2 cats). It was so convenient having a home visit for their vaccinations especially the cats who hate being bundled into the carrier and freak out at the vet. Dr Laurence is such a natural with animals and had them all very relaxed and happy to have their check ups and shots (even the cats who normally are less than keen to be handled ). He was super patient and reassuring and very thorough checking on all aspects of their health. The trimming the nails of a cat who was less than thrilled at the prospect and normally loses it if anyone tries, was particularly appreciated. Laurence and Erin were wonderful at a time that was very difficult for us. They arrived when they said they would and treated both Cooper, our 16 year old Labrador and ourselves with respect and kindness. Laurence explained everything he was going to do and stepped back when we needed time with Cooper before he performed the euthanasia. He spoke gently to Cooper and to us. Dr Laurence came to our house earlier this week to treat our Staffy x who had been unwell for a few days. He arrived before time and greeted us all so warmly and with such a calm demeanour. He took the time to listen to the history as he sat on the floor giving our usually highly anxious dog a chance to relax and approach Laurence in his own time. Laurence was extremely knowledgable and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure every base was covered. He works closely with the local vet clinics and is careful to present the options. He even discovered a dental issue with our dog that had previously gone unnoticed so that was a bonus of the examination. Vet visits are usually highly stressful for us and our dog so this was such a positive experience, one that we would highly recommend for any pet owner. We will be using First Paw Mobile Vet Service from now on and have already recommended Laurence to friends and neighbours.
Revelation! With a very sweet but highly reactive rescue terrier (Peach) we have had some less than ideal vet experiences. Laurence was keen to understand Peach and her behaviour and took the time to get to know her and strategise with me how to give her the vaccination. I can safely sat this is the best vet experience Peach has ever had.
Wasn't sure what to expect with the mobile vet - but I thought it was worth a shot. Going to the vet used to be such an ordeal with 2 x adult rottweiler x french mastiffs - I would have to take them separately, and would be so nervous about whether there would be other pets in the small lobby, etc. In contrast, Dr Laurence came to our house (this was outside his normal area, but for a small fee didn't mind coming). He called in advance and took time to understand what my concerns were. He was very up front about any limitations that home visits offer (he obviously doesn't have all the testing and facilities of a normal vet). However - i was willing to give it a go. The day of the visit, we did one dog at a time in the carport (COVID-19), and he was very thorough with their examinations. He noticed issues my previous vet hadn't and was also was able to take some samples of some suspicious looking lumps (which he then sends away for fast testing), and meant I didn't have to get this done in-house at a vet. I liked the fact he was very detailed - didn't shrug off any of my concerns. Dr Laurence has a positive attitude and a really laid-back, friendly demeanour. He was good with the dogs, and very generous with his time. He followed up to see how the dogs were going, and called to explain the results a few days later. Would definitely recommend First Paw...general health checks can be done in the ease of your own home - and if your pets need follow up care in-house at a vet clinic, he'll advise on where to go/and what to request.
First time using First Paw Vet and we were super happy! Laurence was so patient with our cheeky dog who doesn't like check ups! He was informative and professional and we love that he can come to us.
Lorence was very helpful and went to a great length to be able to care for my fury friend Jerry. His gentleness and live for animals was seen and his passionate about what he does, would definitely call lorence out again and would recommend his care.
