I moved to the city about a year ago and it's not very convenient to get 2 cats and a puppy to the vet! I looked on Google and came across First Paw - booking online was extremely simple and offered great hours of availability. Laurence himself is very patient - my puppy is wriggly, one cat hates strangers and the other loves to go through all the equipment! - and very methodical whilst also getting things done quickly to reduce their stress. Very pleased and would recommend his services to anyone :)
We had a fantastic experience with First Paw Mobile Vet when our large dog developed an eye infection. Dr Lawrence was super professional yet personal and took great care to make both humans and animal comfortable. Dr Laurence is amazing. His home service is easy to book, reliable, well priced and my frenchies just love him. I started using his service during covid and will continue to in the future as it’s soooo much easier than trying to wrangle two excitable dogs into the car and manage them in a vets surgery. Just the smells of lots of other animals in the vets sends them both into a frenzy and we usually all come home exhausted. With the home service they are calm (well, as much as they can be) and are happy to be examined as they’re in their home environment. It’s just so easy and a service I highly recommend. 😁

Laurence and Erin were wonderful at a time that was very difficult for us. They arrived when they said they would and treated both Cooper, our 16 year old Labrador and ourselves with respect and kindness. Laurence explained everything he was going to do and stepped back when we needed time with Cooper before he performed the euthanasia. He spoke gently to Cooper and to us. Like many people I bought a puppy during COVID. Trying to get to Vets that were Open, and had availability, plus maintaining social distancing was difficult. I stumbled over First Paw while researching my options. Finding a vet that did home visits in a safe and professional manner was awesome! They have been with me through the whole gamut of pet owning, from Vaccinations, through to puppy infections, plus I have an allergy dog. First Paw are very responsive when looking for advice, or what to do in an emergency, and all my puppy needs.
Dr. Laurence clearly cares for the clients under his care. He is professional with his advice and he follows up to make sure that your pet is doing fine. I'm happy to recommend his services if your pet hates travelling to the vet (like my cat).

Dr. Laurence is a life saver! My cat Ralphie needs to be sedated every time we go to the vet just for a physical, so we decide to use First Paw, and everything went smoothly. Dr. Laurence was able to give Ralphie a physical and shots without struggle at all! He even gave Ralphie a treat at the end to make sure it was a great experience for him! Dr. Laurence made a normally stressful experience for us, stress free.
I was really impressed by the service from Dr Laurence. My previous mobile vet had shut down so I found First Paw Mobile through an internet search and was able to get an appointment in less than a week to undertake an annual health check for my cat. Dr Laurence conducts a quick five-minute call with you prior to entering the property so he can get background information on your pet and to identify the best way to care for it during the visit. Once inside, he was very caring with my cat, making sure he didn't do anything to cause any stress. Dr Laurence did a full check and was able to vaccinate my cat, which was great given cat vaccines are hard to come by in Australia at the moment. He also provided guidance on cat teeth cleaning (I had not been made aware of this from previous vets) and gave information and advice on how to manage and seek treatment. Five days after my visit, Dr Laurence followed up with a message to see how my cat was and if there were any issues following the vaccination. To me, this really showed the good level of service that First Paw Mobile provides to ensure your pet is safe and well. I will definitely be using First Paw Mobile going forward and would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to use a mobile / home visit service.

Dr Laurence was COVID SAFE, friendly and thorough. He handled Brian the cat with care and listened carefully to our concerns. He was able to drain Brian’s cyst expertly and quickly, with Brian’s comfort as high priority. We will definitely using this service again as Brian is blind and his vet stress when he has to be carted elsewhere is off the charts. When Dr Laurence came to his home, it was just an interesting experience for Brian. This was such a relief! Thank First Paw!

Dr. Laurence responds to his messages/calls super quick making it easy to book a checkup for my 2 new cats. Since the first day my old Labrador met Dr Laurence, we realized how excellent professional he is. He took the time to answer all my questions, listened to Koome history and continued a follow-up after the visit. In addition, he is sensitive friendly and nice with pet owners. So, without doubt, when my almost 16-year-old dog needed to say goodbye to us, I called Laurence to accompany Koome to the end of her beautiful life. He and the nurse were very respectful and sensitive at this difficult time. Koome slept peacefully in the best hands. He is really the best vet I met, and I recommend him 100%. Laurence was awesome. My cat, Muse, who was adopted from the RSCPA started to have a bit of nausea. Laurence was able to come to us after 6pm, (during the COVID lockdowns as well) to give Muse a check up. Text message follow ups are also really personable. Muse seemed to warm up to a vet rather quickly and was much more relaxed at home. Will be using Laurence for future check ups!
After much searching for a mobile vet in the area, I found Laurence. Laurence was quick to respond and extremely thorough and efficient pre visit, during the visit and post visit. He diagnosed and treated Claude who has made a speedy recovery. I wouldn’t hesitate in contacting Laurence again and would recommend him.

Lawrence is a wonderful vet. He called me before coming into my home and asked a lot of questions about my cat Jimmi. So he is really thorough, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately Jimmi isn't a fan of strangers or strange people touching her (same 😆) But with some sedation on her second visit, he managed to do a thorough examination and vaccination. And also gave me some great advice on what to look for when finding a vet to do her dental work. Will definitely be using his services for any future issues with Jimmi.
I got my puppy during the COVID-19 distancing rules, and was pleased to find First Paw Mobile Vet could come to my house so I could be with my puppy while he got his exam and vaccination. They were diligent about wearing a mask & gloves, hand washing, keeping distance from me as much as possible, and keeping the time in my home short, to minimise risk to me and my household, as well as the community. Dr Laurence was thorough, professional and friendly.

This is a fantastic service, the vet (Laurence) was great, he was very well organised and thourough. It was a much better experience having him come to us, more relaxed for us and our pets. Prices are very reasonable, so even with the call out fee it was still cheaper than visiting a vet sugery, great value. We found First Paw Mobile Vet on Instagram and booked our Burmese kitten in to have a check up and his third vaccination. Laurence happily answered all of our Cat questions, checked our boy Banjo over and administered his vaccinations all in the comfort of our home. Would highly recommend!! Our dog, Pepper, is extremely dog reactive which can make trips to the vet very stressful (for us and for Pepper!) Dr Lawrence was great, the visit was quick and easy, and Pepper was definitely a lot happier and relaxed than if we'd taken her out to the vet. Prices are also very reasonable. We had an amazing experience with Dr Laurence! Our poor cat was in a bad way with a very swollen face with what appeared to be an infected abscess from an injury caused by a cat or possum. Dr Laurence was very reassuring when he arrived to our home and took it one step at a time to inspect and treat our fur boy! It was so scary seeing our cat so unwell so the last thing I wanted to do was pop him in a cage to take him to the vet - it would have been even more distressing. The professionalism and empathy he showed towards myself and our cat made it clear to me that he is in the right field of work. From injections, to a shaved cheek and small procedure, temperature and weight checks - all was covered in one home visit. I take my hat off to you! Thanks for looking after our Pepi. We have an extremely anxious dog so vet visits are really stressful for him. I was hoping First Paw mobile vet would be a better experience and it 100% was. Laurence was very patient, he took the time to listen to the concerns and to get a thorough background history. He was awesome with our dog, and basically accomplished more in 30 minutes than we've ever been able to do at a vet office. Laurence was also good at explaining everything and followed up the next day. I would highly recommend First Paw and definitely will be using them again!

Dr Laurence puts your mind at ease and is a professional vet. The at home service is convenient for our shy rescue cat who prefers to be in her home surroundings. Typically she likes to venture off and hide, but Laurence has a way of making her feel calm whilst getting her vaccine and check-up. The service is convenient and affordable. The only wish I had, was to have a remember client detail booking feature so we don't have to refill the appointment form each time. Other than that, the service is exceptional. Requested Dr Laurence come to my house for my cute Bengal kittens final F3 shot. He was so lovely, my kitten was really non fussed by the experience. Dr Laurence then checked in with me a couple of days later to make sure she was alright. She was and so was I as the worried cat mama, so I’ll definitely be calling on First Paws again next time I need a vet.

What a sensational service! As a first time puppy owner the idea of taking my puppy to the vet just for a puppy check up was daunting. To have the stress of transportation removed and little Baxter seen in his own environment was a relief but Dr Laurence's value is not just limited to convenience. He was very generous in sharing advice and tips for future care, very professional but relaxed and calming at the same time. I will have a local vet but will use First Paw as well. Oh and my puppy liked Dr Laurence so much that he tried to follow him out the gate!
I can’t thank Dr Laurence and First Paw Mobile Vet enough for today! My poor old cat developed a very painful lump on his spine and was so uncomfortable and irritable that the vets at the clinic couldn’t even get close enough for a proper exam. They sent us home with some pain relief and advise to monitor, but he still wasn’t himself. I was worried about putting my boy through another stressful car trip and vet visit, so when Dr Laurence came to us, it was a huge relief! Dr Laurence was calm, confident, and incredibly gentle, taking the time to carefully examine my cat right at home. He explained all the possible causes of the lump and talked me through treatment options. Together, we made a plan that made me feel confident and at ease. I’ve never seen my cat so relaxed during and after a vet visit, and the cost was no more than a regular clinic appointment! If your cat gets stressed easily, Dr Laurence is the vet you want. We spent around 30 minutes detailing the symptoms by phone and then he approached to treated her. Taking caution by the COVID 19 crisis. The absolute best doctor for your baby. He was so friendly and helpful. So knowledgeable and super thorough with his diagnosis. He was so gentle to my baby girl Duri and his prices were honestly so good!! While other money hungry clinics were charging 200 dollars for a 5 min consultation, he went out of his ways to call before entering my house to ask about her temperament, her diet, her history,.. EVERYTHING!! He didn’t even mind coming into my bathroom do all the examinations because of how anxious Duri was. Literal god sent. Could not recommend more!! Soooo convenient in terms of not having to travel anywhere but also reduces the stress of being in a carrier for my cat. She got noticeably better after just two days too!! I honestly cannot thank Dr. Laurence enough- you can really tell he does this job because he actually cares! ❤️
Our family member Harry the cat needed his vax papers in order to spend 5 nights in his accomodation whilst we went for a short break. I found Laurence online & I booked an appointment for a weeks time. Laurence was on time and from the moment Harry saw him, he relaxed and had his vax, had his teeth checked and was weighed before he know what was going on. First Paws was a fantastic experience! My staffy Marli becomes anxious around other dogs which makes seeing a vet difficult. Laurence was communicative, knowledgeable, and empathetic.
