I have to say, I was very impressed with First Paw and more to the point Lawrence. I made the initial appointment and then I couldn't meet that time, but spoke with First Paw to see if I could get Lawrence out to my home and Lawrence called me and we set a time. I am always a little bit apprehensive with taking my two cats to a vet as they get incredibly scared and timid, well Lawrence was absolutely awesome with my two cats, he explained everything very clearly, was fantastic with them, and overall a wonderful experience for all. Dr Laurence puts your mind at ease and is a professional vet. The at home service is convenient for our shy rescue cat who prefers to be in her home surroundings. Typically she likes to venture off and hide, but Laurence has a way of making her feel calm whilst getting her vaccine and check-up. The service is convenient and affordable. The only wish I had, was to have a remember client detail booking feature so we don't have to refill the appointment form each time. Other than that, the service is exceptional. We booked last minute on a Friday night and Dr Laurence was here exactly on time Saturday morning. We had just adopted our very skittish cat and Dr Laurence handled him with such care. I really appreciated the follow up texts a few day later. I will only be using First Paw in future for the convenience and affordability (not much more than I've paid for in office visits which can be traumatic for both pet and owner). I highly recommend Dr Laurence!
We have an extremely anxious dog so vet visits are really stressful for him. I was hoping First Paw mobile vet would be a better experience and it 100% was. Laurence was very patient, he took the time to listen to the concerns and to get a thorough background history. He was awesome with our dog, and basically accomplished more in 30 minutes than we've ever been able to do at a vet office. Laurence was also good at explaining everything and followed up the next day. I would highly recommend First Paw and definitely will be using them again!

I can't recommend these guys enough! I didn't know a mobile vet service existed until a friend recommended them and I am totally sold. I have a large anxious rescue dog and going to the vet has always been a pain. Something about the rooms at the vet and all the smells freaks my dog out. The service was punctual, way more thorough than some vets I've been to, friendly, well priced and so convenient. I even got a follow up phone call to see how the prescribed treatment was progressing a few days later. Highly recommend!

We contacted First Paw Mobile Vet as we couldn't get an appointment at our local vet. Our cat (Tiger) had been involved in a fight and was injured so he needed attention. Dr Laurence was amazing! He arrived on time, was very gentle and attentive to Tiger. Checked him out, treated the injury, gave him the necessary injections and medication and even followed up on Tiger's recovery a few times. Something our local vet had never done. Having Dr Laurence come to the house to treat our cat saved us and Tiger a lot of stress and anxiety by not having to get Tiger in the basket/cage( which is always a challenge) and wait in a waiting room. Highly recommend First Paw Mobile Vet and will definitely use again!
I got my puppy during the COVID-19 distancing rules, and was pleased to find First Paw Mobile Vet could come to my house so I could be with my puppy while he got his exam and vaccination. They were diligent about wearing a mask & gloves, hand washing, keeping distance from me as much as possible, and keeping the time in my home short, to minimise risk to me and my household, as well as the community. Dr Laurence was thorough, professional and friendly.
Wasn't sure what to expect with the mobile vet - but I thought it was worth a shot. Going to the vet used to be such an ordeal with 2 x adult rottweiler x french mastiffs - I would have to take them separately, and would be so nervous about whether there would be other pets in the small lobby, etc. In contrast, Dr Laurence came to our house (this was outside his normal area, but for a small fee didn't mind coming). He called in advance and took time to understand what my concerns were. He was very up front about any limitations that home visits offer (he obviously doesn't have all the testing and facilities of a normal vet). However - i was willing to give it a go. The day of the visit, we did one dog at a time in the carport (COVID-19), and he was very thorough with their examinations. He noticed issues my previous vet hadn't and was also was able to take some samples of some suspicious looking lumps (which he then sends away for fast testing), and meant I didn't have to get this done in-house at a vet. I liked the fact he was very detailed - didn't shrug off any of my concerns. Dr Laurence has a positive attitude and a really laid-back, friendly demeanour. He was good with the dogs, and very generous with his time. He followed up to see how the dogs were going, and called to explain the results a few days later. Would definitely recommend First Paw...general health checks can be done in the ease of your own home - and if your pets need follow up care in-house at a vet clinic, he'll advise on where to go/and what to request.

I'm glad we found First Paw; Dr Laurence was prompt, friendly and professional. He called before the appointment to get some background on our kitten, happily answered all our questions and ended up giving us more than the allotted time which is in no way expected, but showed that he actually cares about the pet he's treating. Will definitely use his service again - living in the city it's really convenient to have a vet visit your home for general check ups.

Excellent service! The vets always take a thorough medical history before the appointment and they are super patient with nervous pets. It's also a mobile service vet which means theres no hassle for travelling in a car with you pet (my cat hates car rides). Would 10/10 recommend.
Usually going to the vet is a stress inducing episode but our cat Nola was so well behaved at home with Laurence with First Paw - we will be using these guys again!

Upon arrival, Laurence stayed in his car and called me so we could work out our strategy re Laurence coming into the house and Gavin my cat being in the right spot where he couldn’t hide or cause harm to Laurence or myself. Laurence was so understanding about my stress levels and the stress levels of Gavin and we worked together to make it a successful visit and I was thrilled to have my furry boy vaccinated for another year. Laurence is a wonderful vet & when i had a dilemma regarding my new puppy needing next vacc, he was the only vet that delivered on his promise of care. He has a lovely way about him & made my Chihuahua puppy 'Dobby', feel very calm. 'Dobby' had only recently arrived all the way from Queensland & the thought of being in a veterinary clinic for me, would've been too stressful. Laurence from First Paw was brilliant and I would totally recommend this service. I have a 13 year old Keeshond who has a medical history that would rival most humans and therefore it is almost impossible to get her into the car and to the vets. Laurence was the 14th mobile vet I had called ( none of the others would service my area no matter how ill my pet was). Laurence promptly returned my call and after asking questions he had a fairly good idea of what he was dealing with. Happy to attend the same day and after hours, Laurence called to confirm he was on his way and came spot on the allotted time. He carefully checked Keera’s vitals first and then went on to clean and medicate what turned out to be an open wound that was weeping and bleeding. Laurence explained everything step of the procedure as he went and Keera was calm throughout the entire experience. Add to this, I also received a follow up text the next day to see how the patient was doing. I have used other home vets previously and none have been as thorough and genuinely concerned for Keera’s wellbeing. I would highly recommended and definitely use this service again!!
Loved the First Paw Mobile Vet service. We have two cats that get quite anxious in car rides, so we decided to try a mobile vet and loved the experience. Laurence was very thorough and was great at taking me through the components of the check up and next step. Would definitely recommend.
Despite all good reviews, our experience was not satisfactory. We chose standard health check $149 for our cat’s acne and additional cat $89 just because the vet already visited. We feel the session was too rushing and didn’t feel all our concerns were addressed. We would just think of it as for the sake of getting the cream (ilium Dermotic Ear & Skin Suspension $49). We will visit proper vet clinic next time considering it has all medical equipments as well. Besides, their enquiry email does not seem to be monitored. They didn’t reply to my email asking for the vet’s full name and registration number. It was for me to confirm the information for insurance claim. I called the receptionist and she told me she would get it replied but still no reply.
Dr. Laurence is a must for everyone who is having a dog for the first time and even for experienced owners. He is a great professional and he was super careful with our young Cavalier. He patiently gave fundamental instructions regarding health and care of the puppy and he did more than just vaccination but a complete check up. It is also very convenient to have him in our place, no stress with traffic and parking. We are recommending his work for all friends.

I moved to the city about a year ago and it's not very convenient to get 2 cats and a puppy to the vet! I looked on Google and came across First Paw - booking online was extremely simple and offered great hours of availability. Laurence himself is very patient - my puppy is wriggly, one cat hates strangers and the other loves to go through all the equipment! - and very methodical whilst also getting things done quickly to reduce their stress. Very pleased and would recommend his services to anyone :)

Can’t express enough how great Vet Laurence is - he’s incredibly thorough, caring, knowledgeable and really takes the time to explain everything to you. His online booking platform is also incredibly seamless - I booked a phone consultation on the day of and paid with PayPal - took about 2 minutes. My partner and I were both saying we wish he was our doctor, as the level of care is far superior to any GP we’ve ever had! 😂 all in all a great experience and we will continue to use Laurence as our primary Vet for our little Chips.

This is an excellent service. Laurence is a very skilled and professional vet who treated my mum’s beagle. Indie is a very anxious dog and had infected & inflamed eyes. Despite two trips to the vet, they didn’t improve as her anxiety and twitchiness prevented the vet from being able to properly inspect and treat her eyes. This made a home visit by Laurence the perfect solution. After a visit from Laurence and a treatment course, Indie’s eyes were back to normal after only a few days. I couldn’t more highly recommend Laurence and first paw mobile vet to care for your beloved animals. Laurence is so thorough, knowledgeable and attentive to your pet’s needs. .

I was thrilled to find a mobile pet service as I didn't want to traumatise my kitten taking him out in the cold in a taxi. Laurence was on time and very kind and friendly. He took his time to do what was needed for my kitten's first check up (since I brought him home) and booster vax. We had an amazing experience with Dr Laurence! Our poor cat was in a bad way with a very swollen face with what appeared to be an infected abscess from an injury caused by a cat or possum. Dr Laurence was very reassuring when he arrived to our home and took it one step at a time to inspect and treat our fur boy! It was so scary seeing our cat so unwell so the last thing I wanted to do was pop him in a cage to take him to the vet - it would have been even more distressing. The professionalism and empathy he showed towards myself and our cat made it clear to me that he is in the right field of work. From injections, to a shaved cheek and small procedure, temperature and weight checks - all was covered in one home visit. I take my hat off to you! Thanks for looking after our Pepi.
