Laurence was very through and caring. He was respectful of my dogs attitude to strangers and in particulary vets without neglecting him. He asked lots of question to be able to understand my dogs issues. Happy how the experience went as there was no stressful scenes trying to get my dog to a vet. Also checked on my elderly cats and didn't seem distressed by the experience. Overall very happy fur family thank you

The mobile VET was fantastic! Found this to be super convenient as we found ourselves constantly postponing getting to the VET for our cats' standard vaccinations and boosters. Laurence was on time and courteous and explained everything really well....he even talked us through a few different treatment options (without adding any pressure). Archie and Willow say thank you! Laurence paid our cat Toto a visit last week and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very thorough in explanation of what his skin related issues may be and organised a course of medication. He then followed up to see how Toto was going after a few days of being on the medication. I highly recommend First Paw, particularly with pets that don’t travel particularly well.

I have to say, I was very impressed with First Paw and more to the point Lawrence. I made the initial appointment and then I couldn't meet that time, but spoke with First Paw to see if I could get Lawrence out to my home and Lawrence called me and we set a time. I am always a little bit apprehensive with taking my two cats to a vet as they get incredibly scared and timid, well Lawrence was absolutely awesome with my two cats, he explained everything very clearly, was fantastic with them, and overall a wonderful experience for all. I would highly recommend Lawrence from First Paw, it takes away the stress of leaving your home with anxious cats! Thanks First Paw, awesome job!
Laurence was very knowledgeable and compassionate in dealing with my very nervous kitty when she had her check up. The fact that he can come to my home spares us a lot of unnecessary stress. I appreciated the extra follow up - first with some useful aftercare information and then a few days later to see that Meowy was happy and well. I'll be happy to book Laurence for future check ups and would recommend him to anyone who wants to avoid the hassle that comes with getting their reluctant pet to the vet.
What a fantastic find. Laurence was calm, gentle and best of all at our place. Getting vaccinations for my cats was such a smooth and easy process for all of us when i didnt have to wrestle them into carriers, take them in the car and have them sit in a waiting room with strange dogs, cats and smells.

This is an excellent service. Laurence is a very skilled and professional vet who treated my mum’s beagle. Indie is a very anxious dog and had infected & inflamed eyes. Despite two trips to the vet, they didn’t improve as her anxiety and twitchiness prevented the vet from being able to properly inspect and treat her eyes. This made a home visit by Laurence the perfect solution. After a visit from Laurence and a treatment course, Indie’s eyes were back to normal after only a few days. I couldn’t more highly recommend Laurence and first paw mobile vet to care for your beloved animals. Laurence is so thorough, knowledgeable and attentive to your pet’s needs. .

Dr Laurence was gentle with Henny (our 5yo cat) upon assessing him - most especially during his vaccination. Henny was comfortable with him although awkward, he hasn't seen a vet for a few years and is an indoor cat so the First Paw Mobile Vet service is perfect for him. Dr Laurence was open to answering questions and was also across the info I provided about Henny initially. Great experience for us and Henny - will definitely continue with Dr Laurence for our general vet needs 🙂
Laurence is a fantastic vet with a gentle touch. My Leo went through multiple surgeries and vet stays last year and as a result, is terrified of vet visits. Laurence took the time to let Leo check him out and become comfortable with him before he tried to examine him. It made a huge difference to a cat that usually has to be sedated before he can be treated. I’m not sure Leo even noticed the vaccination he was given. Having a vet come to me instead of putting Leo through the stress of a car ride and unfamiliar space made for a very relaxed cat. Laurence was thorough and ask all the right questions so I was as relaxed as the cat knowing he was in good hands. I highly recommend this service and would definitely use it again.
First Paw mobile vet is a game changer! Our cat, Frida refused to go in the box to the vet, she seemed traumatised to get in - very defensive and scratchy. Dr Laurence provided a phone consult before coming in and then came over to give Frida her first check up at home. Dr Laurence provided clear instructions and helpful information to keep Frida healthy. He ensured minimal stress for Frida (and us!) and excellent customer service. Highly recommended!
Nelson my 5yr old 60kg Belgium Shepherd was in obvious pain continual crying followed by screeching when he would try to stand up, bloated stomach - nothing made sense we thought Nelson was dying right in front of us. Laurence was awesome. My cat, Muse, who was adopted from the RSCPA started to have a bit of nausea. Laurence was able to come to us after 6pm, (during the COVID lockdowns as well) to give Muse a check up. Text message follow ups are also really personable. Muse seemed to warm up to a vet rather quickly and was much more relaxed at home. Will be using Laurence for future check ups!

I was really impressed by the service from Dr Laurence. My previous mobile vet had shut down so I found First Paw Mobile through an internet search and was able to get an appointment in less than a week to undertake an annual health check for my cat. Dr Laurence conducts a quick five-minute call with you prior to entering the property so he can get background information on your pet and to identify the best way to care for it during the visit. Once inside, he was very caring with my cat, making sure he didn't do anything to cause any stress. Dr Laurence did a full check and was able to vaccinate my cat, which was great given cat vaccines are hard to come by in Australia at the moment. He also provided guidance on cat teeth cleaning (I had not been made aware of this from previous vets) and gave information and advice on how to manage and seek treatment. Five days after my visit, Dr Laurence followed up with a message to see how my cat was and if there were any issues following the vaccination. To me, this really showed the good level of service that First Paw Mobile provides to ensure your pet is safe and well. I will definitely be using First Paw Mobile going forward and would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to use a mobile / home visit service.
Wealth of knowledge from Laurence and really appreciated the follow up messages/advise. Daisy my 10 week old puppy had her second vaccination with him and she absolutely loved him. She was completely at ease with her check up and injection. Daisy is excited for her upcoming final injection and it makes it so much easier from the comfort of your home.

First Paw and Dr Laurence have been great! We booked a check up for our cat as he had a sore eye, deciding that the best option was a mobile vet as he is extremely nervous. Laurence was able to calm him down really quickly and was really thorough, juggling tests and equipment whilst keeping the cat calm and still. He gave the eye a good clean and the cat was immediately more happy afterwards, and he also prescribed a course of treatment which has completely cleared the issue up. Laurence has checked in a few times after the appointment to see how our cat is going, and has really shown that he cares and wants him to get better. I would highly recommend First Paw!

Our first visit from Dr Laurence was fantastic. We have 4 furry family members (2 dogs and 2 cats). It was so convenient having a home visit for their vaccinations especially the cats who hate being bundled into the carrier and freak out at the vet. Dr Laurence is such a natural with animals and had them all very relaxed and happy to have their check ups and shots (even the cats who normally are less than keen to be handled ). He was super patient and reassuring and very thorough checking on all aspects of their health. The trimming the nails of a cat who was less than thrilled at the prospect and normally loses it if anyone tries, was particularly appreciated. Booking was straightforward online and the cost was very reasonable. Thanks Dr Laurence - Muffy, Mojo, Callie and Andy look forward to your next visit (and the treats!). The convenience of First Paw is next to none. My 10.5 year old Stanley dog hurt his back and was beside himself with anxiety from the pain. The last thing I wanted to do was put him in the car and take him to the vet, a place that makes him even more anxious! Finding Laurence at First Paw was my greatest discovery ever! Laurence was so calm, gentle and patient with Stanley. He took his time to assess the problem and explained everything we needed to do to achieve recovery. My little fur baby is not a great car traveler, and with the current COVID climate, our vet's policy is she would have to wait in her carrier in the car at the vet prior to her appointment, so to save her anxiety levels (and mine) I decided to give First Paw a go when she needed a check over recently. I was so impressed with Laurence and his professionalism, caring nature and knowledge. He rang me from the car to get a full history on my kitty, and talked me through his process for when he came inside. I mentioned to him that our last vet told me I had very anxious kitten as she would shake and try to wriggle away from the vet every time we went. But not with Laurence, he came into the home with his friendly nature and my little one went right up to him for a sniff over and rarely left the area he was in the whole time. He gave her his full attention for more than the allotted time, left me a sample that he thought might help, and followed up a few days later to see how she was going. Overall, the whole process was so easy and convenient, I'll definitely be using Laurence & First Paw again and would highly recommend him.

Could not recommend Laurence and the team at First Mobile Vet more. From speaking to the lovely lady who made the booking with me over the phone to the thorough consultation I had with Laurence, all was amazing. I have a 11 year old Rotweiler who was in a bad way with impaired mobility. Laurence made a visit to do a consult and administer a Berensa injection. It has worked a treat for her and we are now able to go for 2 small walks a day compared to her not being able to get out of her bed. Laurence gave us so much of his time and even did a follow up to see how she was tracking. Love that I can now book First Paw to come and see us at home. Will definitely continue to use them. Very happy customer and doggie!
I can’t thank Dr Laurence and First Paw Mobile Vet enough for today! My poor old cat developed a very painful lump on his spine and was so uncomfortable and irritable that the vets at the clinic couldn’t even get close enough for a proper exam. They sent us home with some pain relief and advise to monitor, but he still wasn’t himself. I was worried about putting my boy through another stressful car trip and vet visit, so when Dr Laurence came to us, it was a huge relief! Dr Laurence was calm, confident, and incredibly gentle, taking the time to carefully examine my cat right at home. He explained all the possible causes of the lump and talked me through treatment options. Together, we made a plan that made me feel confident and at ease. I’ve never seen my cat so relaxed during and after a vet visit, and the cost was no more than a regular clinic appointment! If your cat gets stressed easily, Dr Laurence is the vet you want. His kindness and expertise made all the difference to us, and I’m so grateful we found him. Thank you again!! 🐈⬛🐾
Had great service from Lawrence who was away on leave, but still called me back regarding our new puppys health check enquriy, and whilst he wasnt able to see us at the last minute which was completly reasonable, even took the time to answer questions, give further recommendations to others and also sent a free e book, will defintely keep in mind for our next visit.

Would highly recommend good Dr Lawrence. He showed lots passion to his work and genuinely seems to care for the animal patients that he treats. Last week he looked after two Newfoundlands with routine injections. He offered lot of his time by giving very helpful advice on taking care of large breed doggos. He seems quite knowledgeable about large breed dogos and offered his valuable time to consult on their dietary requirements, teeth-care and also general health and wellbeing. Also inquired about worming and how I care for the doggos. Did not expect that sort of kindness and it is invaluable advice. Again would highly recommend good Dr Lawrence. My furbaby hates the cat carrier and since I live alone and don’t drive, getting her check up and vaccination done would have been very difficult without the mobile vet! Very friendly and thorough and unlike many vets didn’t treat a cat as less important than other pets. Highly recommend!

The absolute best doctor for your baby. He was so friendly and helpful. So knowledgeable and super thorough with his diagnosis. He was so gentle to my baby girl Duri and his prices were honestly so good!! While other money hungry clinics were charging 200 dollars for a 5 min consultation, he went out of his ways to call before entering my house to ask about her temperament, her diet, her history,.. EVERYTHING!! He didn’t even mind coming into my bathroom do all the examinations because of how anxious Duri was. Literal god sent. Could not recommend more!! Soooo convenient in terms of not having to travel anywhere but also reduces the stress of being in a carrier for my cat. She got noticeably better after just two days too!! I honestly cannot thank Dr. Laurence enough- you can really tell he does this job because he actually cares! ❤️
Great mobile vet service. Detailed pre visit phone call, courteous and professional. Followed up afterwards with regular text messages. This was my first experience with a mobile vet, and it was amazing. We have a very nervous cat, who hates being in the carrier, even for a 5 minute drive to our regular vet. This was a much better experience for all of us. Our cat was so much more chilled about everything, and as a result, so was I. Will happily use this service again for routine vet visits.
Dr Laurence was great, he spent time really getting to know my 8 week old puppy, examining and playing with him. We called on First Paw to assist us with a health check of our cat amidst the lockdown in Melbourne, when our usual vet had quite a long wait for the next available appointment. Dr Laurence was friendly and professional, arriving on time and ensuring he used Covid Safe protocols during the visit. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable in obtaining a health history and whilst examining our cat. Our little guy can be quite skittish with strangers in our home, but Dr Laurence was excellent in keeping him calm and reassured throughout the check up. I highly recommend using First Paw for your pets needs, not only for the convenience of being a mobile vet but also for the high quality of care that they provide. Taking time to establish why id called on the phone first, everything was covered to ensure on arrival, he knew exactly what he was looking for. Despite all good reviews, our experience was not satisfactory. We chose standard health check $149 for our cat’s acne and additional cat $89 just because the vet already visited. We feel the session was too rushing and didn’t feel all our concerns were addressed. We would just think of it as for the sake of getting the cream (ilium Dermotic Ear & Skin Suspension $49). We will visit proper vet clinic next time considering it has all medical equipments as well. Besides, their enquiry email does not seem to be monitored. They didn’t reply to my email asking for the vet’s full name and registration number. It was for me to confirm the information for insurance claim. I called the receptionist and she told me she would get it replied but still no reply.
He was amazing with my puppy Sasha! He knows what he’s doing and explained everything to me so well, he answered all my questions. He went the extra mile and came to my area which is definitely worth the extra fee charge! He’s fantastic and I don’t know how to describe it! 10/10

Wasn't sure what to expect with the mobile vet - but I thought it was worth a shot. Going to the vet used to be such an ordeal with 2 x adult rottweiler x french mastiffs - I would have to take them separately, and would be so nervous about whether there would be other pets in the small lobby, etc. In contrast, Dr Laurence came to our house (this was outside his normal area, but for a small fee didn't mind coming). He called in advance and took time to understand what my concerns were. He was very up front about any limitations that home visits offer (he obviously doesn't have all the testing and facilities of a normal vet). However - i was willing to give it a go. The day of the visit, we did one dog at a time in the carport (COVID-19), and he was very thorough with their examinations. He noticed issues my previous vet hadn't and was also was able to take some samples of some suspicious looking lumps (which he then sends away for fast testing), and meant I didn't have to get this done in-house at a vet. I liked the fact he was very detailed - didn't shrug off any of my concerns. Dr Laurence has a positive attitude and a really laid-back, friendly demeanour. He was good with the dogs, and very generous with his time. He followed up to see how the dogs were going, and called to explain the results a few days later. Would definitely recommend First Paw...general health checks can be done in the ease of your own home - and if your pets need follow up care in-house at a vet clinic, he'll advise on where to go/and what to request.

We had an amazing experience with Dr Laurence! Our poor cat was in a bad way with a very swollen face with what appeared to be an infected abscess from an injury caused by a cat or possum. Dr Laurence was very reassuring when he arrived to our home and took it one step at a time to inspect and treat our fur boy! It was so scary seeing our cat so unwell so the last thing I wanted to do was pop him in a cage to take him to the vet - it would have been even more distressing. The professionalism and empathy he showed towards myself and our cat made it clear to me that he is in the right field of work. From injections, to a shaved cheek and small procedure, temperature and weight checks - all was covered in one home visit. I take my hat off to you! Thanks for looking after our Pepi. I was thrilled to find a mobile pet service as I didn't want to traumatise my kitten taking him out in the cold in a taxi. Laurence was on time and very kind and friendly. He took his time to do what was needed for my kitten's first check up (since I brought him home) and booster vax. I have a senior cat who stresses terribly whenever we have to travel to see a vet. This was a great alternative for his health check and vaccination. Booking was very easy and Dr Laurence was great with my cat (who is often very cranky with strangers). He offered great health advice and provided some good recommendations for various products. Very reasonably priced and overall the best, least stress free vet visit we have ever had! Will definitely be booking Dr Laurence for the next check up!
Dr Laurence was very patient with my anxious cat and was very gentle and patient. Thorough treatment and assessment without the hassle of having to drive to a clinic - perfect for anxious dogs and cats. Highly recommend and we will be using this service in future.

Would highly recommend!! Our dog, Pepper, is extremely dog reactive which can make trips to the vet very stressful (for us and for Pepper!) Dr Lawrence was great, the visit was quick and easy, and Pepper was definitely a lot happier and relaxed than if we'd taken her out to the vet. Prices are also very reasonable. Will definitely be using First Paw again

Laurence and his mobile vet service has been a God-send. I have a three year old cat who is very skittish and ran away for five days last time I took him to the vet. Upon arrival, Laurence stayed in his car and called me so we could work out our strategy re Laurence coming into the house and Gavin my cat being in the right spot where he couldn’t hide or cause harm to Laurence or myself. Laurence was so understanding about my stress levels and the stress levels of Gavin and we worked together to make it a successful visit and I was thrilled to have my furry boy vaccinated for another year. He also had a quick look at my puppy dog’s teeth and confirmed its time to have them cleaned. Thank you Laurence, I will be making you a firm part of my furry family. Amazing service, our dog was so much more comfortable being treated in his familiar environment, the vet is also so kind and takes plenty of time to get to you know you and your animal, and having the service in your home gives you plenty of time to ask any questions. We’re loyal!

Had my puppy's first consult with Laurence a week or so ago - highly recommend! I was expecting to just get a quick look at her, administer her vaccine and off to the next appointment. Instead he was super proactive about making sure Marceline has been set up properly and very attentively listened to the couple of concerns and questions I had. He made sure to address them very thoroughly and you can tell how much he cares about the well being of your animal companion.
Dr. Laurence clearly cares for the clients under his care. He is professional with his advice and he follows up to make sure that your pet is doing fine. I'm happy to recommend his services if your pet hates travelling to the vet (like my cat).
