I'm glad we found First Paw; Dr Laurence was prompt, friendly and professional. He called before the appointment to get some background on our kitten, happily answered all our questions and ended up giving us more than the allotted time which is in no way expected, but showed that he actually cares about the pet he's treating. Will definitely use his service again - living in the city it's really convenient to have a vet visit your home for general check ups.
I was really impressed by the service from Dr Laurence. My previous mobile vet had shut down so I found First Paw Mobile through an internet search and was able to get an appointment in less than a week to undertake an annual health check for my cat. Dr Laurence conducts a quick five-minute call with you prior to entering the property so he can get background information on your pet and to identify the best way to care for it during the visit. Once inside, he was very caring with my cat, making sure he didn't do anything to cause any stress. Dr Laurence did a full check and was able to vaccinate my cat, which was great given cat vaccines are hard to come by in Australia at the moment. He also provided guidance on cat teeth cleaning (I had not been made aware of this from previous vets) and gave information and advice on how to manage and seek treatment. Five days after my visit, Dr Laurence followed up with a message to see how my cat was and if there were any issues following the vaccination. To me, this really showed the good level of service that First Paw Mobile provides to ensure your pet is safe and well. I will definitely be using First Paw Mobile going forward and would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to use a mobile / home visit service.

We had an amazing experience with Dr Laurence! Our poor cat was in a bad way with a very swollen face with what appeared to be an infected abscess from an injury caused by a cat or possum. Dr Laurence was very reassuring when he arrived to our home and took it one step at a time to inspect and treat our fur boy! It was so scary seeing our cat so unwell so the last thing I wanted to do was pop him in a cage to take him to the vet - it would have been even more distressing. The professionalism and empathy he showed towards myself and our cat made it clear to me that he is in the right field of work. From injections, to a shaved cheek and small procedure, temperature and weight checks - all was covered in one home visit. I take my hat off to you! Thanks for looking after our Pepi. The absolute best doctor for your baby. He was so friendly and helpful. So knowledgeable and super thorough with his diagnosis. He was so gentle to my baby girl Duri and his prices were honestly so good!! While other money hungry clinics were charging 200 dollars for a 5 min consultation, he went out of his ways to call before entering my house to ask about her temperament, her diet, her history,.. EVERYTHING!! He didn’t even mind coming into my bathroom do all the examinations because of how anxious Duri was. Literal god sent. Could not recommend more!! Soooo convenient in terms of not having to travel anywhere but also reduces the stress of being in a carrier for my cat. She got noticeably better after just two days too!! I honestly cannot thank Dr. Laurence enough- you can really tell he does this job because he actually cares! ❤️

Great mobile vet service. Detailed pre visit phone call, courteous and professional. Followed up afterwards with regular text messages. This was my first experience with a mobile vet, and it was amazing. We have a very nervous cat, who hates being in the carrier, even for a 5 minute drive to our regular vet. This was a much better experience for all of us. Our cat was so much more chilled about everything, and as a result, so was I. Will happily use this service again for routine vet visits.

Can’t express enough how great Vet Laurence is - he’s incredibly thorough, caring, knowledgeable and really takes the time to explain everything to you. His online booking platform is also incredibly seamless - I booked a phone consultation on the day of and paid with PayPal - took about 2 minutes. My partner and I were both saying we wish he was our doctor, as the level of care is far superior to any GP we’ve ever had! 😂 all in all a great experience and we will continue to use Laurence as our primary Vet for our little Chips.

Had my puppy's first consult with Laurence a week or so ago - highly recommend! I was expecting to just get a quick look at her, administer her vaccine and off to the next appointment. Instead he was super proactive about making sure Marceline has been set up properly and very attentively listened to the couple of concerns and questions I had. He made sure to address them very thoroughly and you can tell how much he cares about the well being of your animal companion.
Dr Laurence from First Paw is great! He is very thorough & took the time to explain all his recommendations. He also gave genuine solutions to a range of concerns. The best part...all in the comfort of our home! So my dog experienced less stress & was much more comfortable than when we have to head to the vet, which of course made me less stressed too! Dr. Laurence is a life saver! My cat Ralphie needs to be sedated every time we go to the vet just for a physical, so we decide to use First Paw, and everything went smoothly. Dr. Laurence was able to give Ralphie a physical and shots without struggle at all! He even gave Ralphie a treat at the end to make sure it was a great experience for him! The convenience of First Paw is next to none. My 10.5 year old Stanley dog hurt his back and was beside himself with anxiety from the pain. The last thing I wanted to do was put him in the car and take him to the vet, a place that makes him even more anxious! Finding Laurence at First Paw was my greatest discovery ever! Laurence was so calm, gentle and patient with Stanley. He took his time to assess the problem and explained everything we needed to do to achieve recovery. Stanley is back to his normal self and I couldn’t be happier with this service!

We contacted First Paw Mobile Vet as we couldn't get an appointment at our local vet. Our cat (Tiger) had been involved in a fight and was injured so he needed attention. Dr Laurence was amazing! He arrived on time, was very gentle and attentive to Tiger. Checked him out, treated the injury, gave him the necessary injections and medication and even followed up on Tiger's recovery a few times. Something our local vet had never done. Having Dr Laurence come to the house to treat our cat saved us and Tiger a lot of stress and anxiety by not having to get Tiger in the basket/cage( which is always a challenge) and wait in a waiting room. Highly recommend First Paw Mobile Vet and will definitely use again!

Excellent service! The vets always take a thorough medical history before the appointment and they are super patient with nervous pets. It's also a mobile service vet which means theres no hassle for travelling in a car with you pet (my cat hates car rides). Would 10/10 recommend.

Our family member Harry the cat needed his vax papers in order to spend 5 nights in his accomodation whilst we went for a short break. Dr. Laurence and his professional, empathetic and calming nature has become an instant friend to our two dogs. Aside from his professionalism, punctuality and amazing vet knowledge he is a naturally endearing person who made our 14 year old lab feel at ease while he thoroughly checked her out, and engaged with our children and us as if we had known him forever. The trauma of trying to get an ageing Lab with bad legs into a 4wd to go to the vet is horrible, but having Laurence come to us for a highly reasonable fee has made such a difference to us. Sadly there will come a time in the future that we will have to farewell our old girl and it brings peace of mind to my family that we have Laurence to go through this painful time with. We can't recommend him highly enough and wish we had found him sooner.

Would highly recommend good Dr Lawrence. He showed lots passion to his work and genuinely seems to care for the animal patients that he treats. Last week he looked after two Newfoundlands with routine injections. He offered lot of his time by giving very helpful advice on taking care of large breed doggos. He seems quite knowledgeable about large breed dogos and offered his valuable time to consult on their dietary requirements, teeth-care and also general health and wellbeing. Also inquired about worming and how I care for the doggos. Did not expect that sort of kindness and it is invaluable advice. Again would highly recommend good Dr Lawrence. Dr Laurence is amazing. His home service is easy to book, reliable, well priced and my frenchies just love him. I started using his service during covid and will continue to in the future as it’s soooo much easier than trying to wrangle two excitable dogs into the car and manage them in a vets surgery. Just the smells of lots of other animals in the vets sends them both into a frenzy and we usually all come home exhausted. With the home service they are calm (well, as much as they can be) and are happy to be examined as they’re in their home environment. It’s just so easy and a service I highly recommend. 😁

Dr Laurence was gentle with Henny (our 5yo cat) upon assessing him - most especially during his vaccination. Henny was comfortable with him although awkward, he hasn't seen a vet for a few years and is an indoor cat so the First Paw Mobile Vet service is perfect for him. Dr Laurence was open to answering questions and was also across the info I provided about Henny initially. Great experience for us and Henny - will definitely continue with Dr Laurence for our general vet needs 🙂
