Wasn't sure what to expect with the mobile vet - but I thought it was worth a shot. Going to the vet used to be such an ordeal with 2 x adult rottweiler x french mastiffs - I would have to take them separately, and would be so nervous about whether there would be other pets in the small lobby, etc. In contrast, Dr Laurence came to our house (this was outside his normal area, but for a small fee didn't mind coming). He called in advance and took time to understand what my concerns were. He was very up front about any limitations that home visits offer (he obviously doesn't have all the testing and facilities of a normal vet). However - i was willing to give it a go. The day of the visit, we did one dog at a time in the carport (COVID-19), and he was very thorough with their examinations. He noticed issues my previous vet hadn't and was also was able to take some samples of some suspicious looking lumps (which he then sends away for fast testing), and meant I didn't have to get this done in-house at a vet. I liked the fact he was very detailed - didn't shrug off any of my concerns. Dr Laurence has a positive attitude and a really laid-back, friendly demeanour. He was good with the dogs, and very generous with his time. He followed up to see how the dogs were going, and called to explain the results a few days later. Would definitely recommend First Paw...general health checks can be done in the ease of your own home - and if your pets need follow up care in-house at a vet clinic, he'll advise on where to go/and what to request.

What a fantastic find. Laurence was calm, gentle and best of all at our place. Getting vaccinations for my cats was such a smooth and easy process for all of us when i didnt have to wrestle them into carriers, take them in the car and have them sit in a waiting room with strange dogs, cats and smells.

The best vet visit in years! Lawrence was amazing, he was super organised and very caring and thorough with our cat. He was very diligent in his practice and this shows as we had a very happy cat :) looking forward to these yearly visits.

Our first visit from Dr Laurence was fantastic. We have 4 furry family members (2 dogs and 2 cats). It was so convenient having a home visit for their vaccinations especially the cats who hate being bundled into the carrier and freak out at the vet. Dr Laurence is such a natural with animals and had them all very relaxed and happy to have their check ups and shots (even the cats who normally are less than keen to be handled ). He was super patient and reassuring and very thorough checking on all aspects of their health. The trimming the nails of a cat who was less than thrilled at the prospect and normally loses it if anyone tries, was particularly appreciated. Booking was straightforward online and the cost was very reasonable. Thanks Dr Laurence - Muffy, Mojo, Callie and Andy look forward to your next visit (and the treats!). We will definitely use you again and highly recommend to others.

I got my puppy during the COVID-19 distancing rules, and was pleased to find First Paw Mobile Vet could come to my house so I could be with my puppy while he got his exam and vaccination. They were diligent about wearing a mask & gloves, hand washing, keeping distance from me as much as possible, and keeping the time in my home short, to minimise risk to me and my household, as well as the community. Dr Laurence was thorough, professional and friendly.

Highly recommend First Paw, my cat was so much calmer having a vet attend to her at home. I think she even liked Laurence despite all the prodding and poking as he has a nice caring demeanour which put her (and her distressed human - me) at ease. Thank you!

Laurence was incredibly kind, and very helpful when he came to check on my cat! He had lots of great advice and my cat felt so much better after getting the necessary injection & medication :)
