We called on First Paw to assist us with a health check of our cat amidst the lockdown in Melbourne, when our usual vet had quite a long wait for the next available appointment. Dr Laurence was friendly and professional, arriving on time and ensuring he used Covid Safe protocols during the visit. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable in obtaining a health history and whilst examining our cat. Our little guy can be quite skittish with strangers in our home, but Dr Laurence was excellent in keeping him calm and reassured throughout the check up. I highly recommend using First Paw for your pets needs, not only for the convenience of being a mobile vet but also for the high quality of care that they provide. Dr. Laurence clearly cares for the clients under his care. He is professional with his advice and he follows up to make sure that your pet is doing fine. I'm happy to recommend his services if your pet hates travelling to the vet (like my cat).
Laurence from First Paw was brilliant and I would totally recommend this service. I have a 13 year old Keeshond who has a medical history that would rival most humans and therefore it is almost impossible to get her into the car and to the vets. Laurence was the 14th mobile vet I had called ( none of the others would service my area no matter how ill my pet was). Laurence promptly returned my call and after asking questions he had a fairly good idea of what he was dealing with. Happy to attend the same day and after hours, Laurence called to confirm he was on his way and came spot on the allotted time. He carefully checked Keera’s vitals first and then went on to clean and medicate what turned out to be an open wound that was weeping and bleeding. Laurence explained everything step of the procedure as he went and Keera was calm throughout the entire experience. Add to this, I also received a follow up text the next day to see how the patient was doing. I have used other home vets previously and none have been as thorough and genuinely concerned for Keera’s wellbeing. I would highly recommended and definitely use this service again!!

Can’t express enough how great Vet Laurence is - he’s incredibly thorough, caring, knowledgeable and really takes the time to explain everything to you. His online booking platform is also incredibly seamless - I booked a phone consultation on the day of and paid with PayPal - took about 2 minutes. My partner and I were both saying we wish he was our doctor, as the level of care is far superior to any GP we’ve ever had! 😂 all in all a great experience and we will continue to use Laurence as our primary Vet for our little Chips.
Dr. Laurence responds to his messages/calls super quick making it easy to book a checkup for my 2 new cats. He gave me lost of advice and tips on how to keep them in top health, and seems really knowledgeable. It was incredibly convenient for me as the cats are quite timid, and it seems that they were more comfortable as the checkup was in an environment they were semi-familiar with. Appreciate the work! After much searching for a mobile vet in the area, I found Laurence. Laurence was quick to respond and extremely thorough and efficient pre visit, during the visit and post visit. He diagnosed and treated Claude who has made a speedy recovery. I wouldn’t hesitate in contacting Laurence again and would recommend him.
The humorous and gentle doctor Laurence came to my home with a temperature of 37 degrees to give my kitten a physical examination and vaccination .He got along well with Momo and provided us prefect services. Thank him a lot🥳 …
