The convenience of First Paw is next to none. My 10.5 year old Stanley dog hurt his back and was beside himself with anxiety from the pain. The last thing I wanted to do was put him in the car and take him to the vet, a place that makes him even more anxious! Finding Laurence at First Paw was my greatest discovery ever! Laurence was so calm, gentle and patient with Stanley. He took his time to assess the problem and explained everything we needed to do to achieve recovery. Stanley is back to his normal self and I couldn’t be happier with this service!

Being a first time Pet parent, we had a lot of questions for Laurence and Laurence was very patient and answered all our queries. Our 10 weeks old Pup was very calm around Laurence thus making it a very pleasant experience for us.

My cat isn't the fussiest but I don't drive and he is very heavy to carry, so I opted for a mobile vet. Booking is easy – you can call or book online. The person answering the phone was very friendly and helpful. First Paw was very prompt and very gentle with my cat. The check up, vaccination, and recommendations were handled super efficiently and with care. Aftercare was provided via texted links to PDFs (love this as I am swamped with emails and can't stand loose paper). Very grateful that all pandemic guidelines were followed as I live in a small space, and it made me feel very safe. Thank you, First Paw. I'm recommending this team to all my friends in the inner suburbs 💪🏼🐾

Awesome service provided by veterinarian, Laurence, during the stage 4 COVID-19 lockdown. We started to notice that our border collie was having some issues related to his rear-end and our cat hat been scratching at his face near his ear. We didn't want to deal with the logistics and risk of transporting both pets and also all the additional measures required due to the lockdown at our regular clinic. We setup an online appointment via the website and Laurence arrived right at the scheduled appointment time. We did a 15-minute phone consultation before Laurence entered the property. Laurence was very thorough with the examination and also provided a full general health check on our pets. Very kind and considerate and talked us through all the examinations and provided a lot of background on what was happening, also checking in a few days later. Really lifted the bar beyond what we were used to with our other highly-rated and regarded local clinic, would definitely use the service again without hesitation.

Recently, in a time of need for my elderly German Shepherd, I discovered Dr Laurence. Dr Laurence proved to be quite an incredible young man, someone who took the time to understand the situation completely, who with his calm and honest presence gave me the confidence and trust in him that his treatment for my canine friend would be most appropriate. I can attest to the fact that his understanding of the situation and decisive, careful yet no fuss action meant my dog’s difficult problem has completely healed and her spirits are revived. I do not hesitate to recommend DrLaurence, not only for his skill as a vet but his considerate kindness, not only to my dog but extended to myself. I thought, after he left what an unusual and amazing experience – very streamlined, as if we had been visited by a light-footed superhero. I recommend him highly.

Laurence paid our cat Toto a visit last week and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very thorough in explanation of what his skin related issues may be and organised a course of medication. He then followed up to see how Toto was going after a few days of being on the medication. I highly recommend First Paw, particularly with pets that don’t travel particularly well.

Great mobile vet service. Detailed pre visit phone call, courteous and professional. Followed up afterwards with regular text messages. This was my first experience with a mobile vet, and it was amazing. We have a very nervous cat, who hates being in the carrier, even for a 5 minute drive to our regular vet. This was a much better experience for all of us. Our cat was so much more chilled about everything, and as a result, so was I. Will happily use this service again for routine vet visits.

Brilliant! Was able to get my dog Harry vaccinated without having to leave my house while working from home. Great guy who knows what he's doing, the convenience was just a bonus. Will use again, cheers!
