First Paw and Dr Laurence have been great! We booked a check up for our cat as he had a sore eye, deciding that the best option was a mobile vet as he is extremely nervous. Laurence was able to calm him down really quickly and was really thorough, juggling tests and equipment whilst keeping the cat calm and still. He gave the eye a good clean and the cat was immediately more happy afterwards, and he also prescribed a course of treatment which has completely cleared the issue up. Laurence has checked in a few times after the appointment to see how our cat is going, and has really shown that he cares and wants him to get better. I would highly recommend First Paw!

Great mobile vet service. Detailed pre visit phone call, courteous and professional. Followed up afterwards with regular text messages. This was my first experience with a mobile vet, and it was amazing. We have a very nervous cat, who hates being in the carrier, even for a 5 minute drive to our regular vet. This was a much better experience for all of us. Our cat was so much more chilled about everything, and as a result, so was I. Will happily use this service again for routine vet visits.

We had an amazing experience with Dr Laurence! Our poor cat was in a bad way with a very swollen face with what appeared to be an infected abscess from an injury caused by a cat or possum. Dr Laurence was very reassuring when he arrived to our home and took it one step at a time to inspect and treat our fur boy! It was so scary seeing our cat so unwell so the last thing I wanted to do was pop him in a cage to take him to the vet - it would have been even more distressing. The professionalism and empathy he showed towards myself and our cat made it clear to me that he is in the right field of work. From injections, to a shaved cheek and small procedure, temperature and weight checks - all was covered in one home visit. I take my hat off to you! Thanks for looking after our Pepi. Would highly recommend good Dr Lawrence. He showed lots passion to his work and genuinely seems to care for the animal patients that he treats. Last week he looked after two Newfoundlands with routine injections. He offered lot of his time by giving very helpful advice on taking care of large breed doggos. He seems quite knowledgeable about large breed dogos and offered his valuable time to consult on their dietary requirements, teeth-care and also general health and wellbeing. Also inquired about worming and how I care for the doggos. Did not expect that sort of kindness and it is invaluable advice. Again would highly recommend good Dr Lawrence. Highly recommended! Apqrt from the obvious ease of a vet coming to your home, Laurence is incredibly professional as well. Lawrence is a wonderful vet. He called me before coming into my home and asked a lot of questions about my cat Jimmi. So he is really thorough, which I really appreciate. Unfortunately Jimmi isn't a fan of strangers or strange people touching her (same 😆)But with some sedation on her second visit, he managed to do a thorough examination and vaccination. Like many people I bought a puppy during COVID. Trying to get to Vets that were Open, and had availability, plus maintaining social distancing was difficult. Our cats Sushi and Miso both hate going to the vet for their annual jabs. And it can be such a traumatising event to even try and put them in their cages each year! I found Laurence online after a bit of googling, and after reading all the positive reviews I thought we should give it a go! And like everyone else in here we had a great experience with him. Booking with him was very smooth, I even had to cancel our first appointment due to covid scare - but he was very helpful and accomodating.On the day of the appointment he rang and found out all about the history of our cats and once he arrived he was very very gentle with our cats - and didn't rush us which often adds stress to the cats and us. The jabs went smoothly, he even managed to cut our girls nails (which normally takes several vet nurses just to hold them down). Very informative all around, friendly and a proffesional service! We will sure to book with him each year goind forward. Many thanks Laurence!

What a sensational service! As a first time puppy owner the idea of taking my puppy to the vet just for a puppy check up was daunting. To have the stress of transportation removed and little Baxter seen in his own environment was a relief but Dr Laurence's value is not just limited to convenience. He was very generous in sharing advice and tips for future care, very professional but relaxed and calming at the same time. I will have a local vet but will use First Paw as well. Oh and my puppy liked Dr Laurence so much that he tried to follow him out the gate!

This is an excellent service. Laurence is a very skilled and professional vet who treated my mum’s beagle. Indie is a very anxious dog and had infected & inflamed eyes. Despite two trips to the vet, they didn’t improve as her anxiety and twitchiness prevented the vet from being able properly inspect and treat her eyes. This made a home visit by Laurence the perfect solution. After a visit from Laurence and a treatment course, Indie’s eyes were back to normal after only a few days. I have a senior cat who stresses terribly whenever we have to travel to see a vet. This was a great alternative for his health check and vaccination. We had a great experience using first Paw Mobile Vet. Before entering the premises our Vet took the time to have a pre briefing discussion to discuss concerns and symptoms we had been noticing- our cat had just returned after running away for 7 days. When he came in to do the consultation he was professional and friendly, he took his time to thoroughly complete a health check on our cat and was very knowledgeable in prescribing a course of medication to help with her recovery. In addition to this he also checked in via text in the days following to see how she was doing and if recovery was going a expected. The pricing was fair and the convenience of having someone visit our home rather than putting our pet under stress by travelling into a clinic was worthwhile. Would recommend them!

His home service is easy to book, reliable, well priced and my frenchies just love him.I started using his service during covid and will continue to in the future as it’s soooo much easier than trying to wrangle two excitable dogs into the car and manage them in a vets surgery. What an incredible business. I’m not sure if me or my baby pup were more nervous about the first vaccines but Lawrence made me (and more importantly my pooch) feel completely at ease. An excellent service that perfectly slipped in around my (always too busy) work schedule, Lawrence had my pup vaccinated, checked and ready to go about his day before my first meeting had even started. But most importantly he did it without a single whelp or yelp throughout the entire process. Our 19 year old cat got to the end of the line. First Paw came to help end her suffering. The vet and nurse at First Paw were just wonderful and very sensitively and respectfully managed this tricky time for us. They never rushed us through this either. Laurence was prompt, professional and very careful with my cats – he was sensitive to their needs, acting quickly so they wouldn't get too stressed out. He was informative, gave me good advice and checked up on the animals a few days later, definitely recommend to any pet owner.

Highly recommend Laurence and “first paws”. Laurence was super responsive, I was able to book an appointment for the next day. Laurence provided assessment for my kitty cat and was able to administer and prescribe pain relief all without me having to leave home and trying to get an unhappy cat to the vet. Laurence is an amazing vet. Our dog, Scruffy, is very nervous around new people. He made him feel relaxed and calm. He also got the medicine that we needed for him fast and called us to schedule the visit as soon as the medicine arrived. He is fast, reliable, and cares a lot about animals. Cannot recommend him enough!

We contacted First Paw Mobile Vet as we couldn't get an appointment at our local vet. Our cat (Tiger) had been involved in a fight and was injured so he needed attention. Dr Laurence was amazing! He arrived on time, was very gentle and attentive to Tiger. Checked him out, treated the injury, gave him the necessary injections and medication and even followed up on Tiger's recovery a few times. Something our local vet had never done. Having Dr Laurence come to the house to treat our cat saved us and Tiger a lot of stress and anxiety by not having to get Tiger in the basket/cage( which is always a challenge) and wait in a waiting room. Highly recommend First Paw Mobile Vet and will definitely use again!

Had my puppy's first consult with Laurence a week or so ago - highly recommend! I was expecting to just get a quick look at her, administer her vaccine and off to the next appointment. Instead he was super proactive about making sure Marceline has been set up properly and very attentively listened to the couple of concerns and questions I had. He made sure to address them very thoroughly and you can tell how much he cares about the well being of your animal companion.

The convenience of First Paw is next to none. My 10.5 year old Stanley dog hurt his back and was beside himself with anxiety from the pain. The last thing I wanted to do was put him in the car and take him to the vet, a place that makes him even more anxious! Finding Laurence at First Paw was my greatest discovery ever! Laurence was so calm, gentle and patient with Stanley. He took his time to assess the problem and explained everything we needed to do to achieve recovery. Stanley is back to his normal self and I couldn’t be happier with this service!
