I'm glad we found First Paw; Dr Laurence was prompt, friendly and professional. He called before the appointment to get some background on our kitten, happily answered all our questions and ended up giving us more than the allotted time which is in no way expected, but showed that he actually cares about the pet he's treating. Will definitely use his service again - living in the city it's really convenient to have a vet visit your home for general check ups.

I can't recommend these guys enough! I didn't know a mobile vet service existed until a friend recommended them and I am totally sold. I have a large anxious rescue dog and going to the vet has always been a pain. Something about the rooms at the vet and all the smells freaks my dog out. The service was punctual, way more thorough than some vets I've been to, friendly, well priced and so convenient. I even got a follow up phone call to see how the prescribed treatment was progressing a few days later. Highly recommend!

My experience matches much of the other comments here. Great service, really convenient and easy to organise. We had a consultation via phone before the health check up which ensured as little stress as possible for my pet. I do not have a car therefore the traveling service was ideal - especially during lockdown. Laurence was able to prescribe a treatment there and then and followed up via text to make sure everything was improving which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend this service.

What a great service, especially during lockdown! Before coming in, we had a consultation phone call where Laurence really took the time to answer all of my questions, as I’m a new pet owner. During the appointment, which was a general health checkup for my cat, he was very thorough and explained each step. Highly recommend!

Laurence came at a time of need for I and my puppy. The service was quick, courteous and my puppy was comfortable around the vet. The service is recommended especially when you want an in home care instead of trips to and from the vet.

Vet Laurence was so kind and professional in treating my nervous cat Daisy for a suspect UTI. Really fast turn around as well and was very gentle and caring with Daisy. Such a great service , much less stress for animals. Thanks again Laurence:) Daisy is feeling much better now. Will definitely use first paw again when needed in future

Awesome service provided by veterinarian, Laurence, during the stage 4 COVID-19 lockdown. We started to notice that our border collie was having some issues related to his rear-end and our cat hat been scratching at his face near his ear. We didn't want to deal with the logistics and risk of transporting both pets and also all the additional measures required due to the lockdown at our regular clinic. We setup an online appointment via the website and Laurence arrived right at the scheduled appointment time. We did a 15-minute phone consultation before Laurence entered the property.Laurence was very thorough with the examination and also provided a full general health check on our pets.Very kind and considerate and talked us through all the examinations and provided a lot of background on what was happening, also checking in a few days later. Really lifted the bar beyond what we were used to with our other highly-rated and regarded local clinic, would definitely use the service again without hesitation.

Wealth of knowledge from Laurence and really appreciated the follow up messages/advise. Daisy my 10 week old puppy had her second vaccination with him and she absolutely loved him. She was completely at ease with her check up and injection. Daisy is excited for her upcoming final injection and it makes it so much easier from the comfort of your home.

Laurence and Erin were wonderful at a time that was very difficult for us. They arrived when they said they would and treated both Cooper, our 16 year old Labrador and ourselves with respect and kindness. Laurence explained everything he was going to do and stepped back when we needed time with Cooper before he performed the euthanasia. He spoke gently to Cooper and to us. He made an experience we were all dreading so much more comfortable. We can’t thank him and Erin enough for their compassion and professionalism. I would highly recommend First Paw to anyone.

Bella, my dog, and I would like to heartily recommend the First Paw mobile vet service. An appointment was arranged easily and Laurence, the fabulous vet arrived promptly. He was wonderful, thorough, professional and incredibly sensitive to both Bella’s and my needs. Thanks for your prompt response. I'm very happy with the service. The vet was nice and gentle with my cat. They take very serious the appointment. We spent around 30 minutes detailing the symptoms by phone and then he approached to treated her. Taking caution by the COVID 19 crisis. I truly recommend and I'll be contact them again if something happens.

Laurence is a wonderful vet & when i had a dilemma regarding my new puppy needing next vacc, he was the only vet that delivered on his promise of care. He has a lovely way about him & made my Chihuahua puppy 'Dobby', feel very calm. 'Dobby' had only recently arrived all the way from Queensland & the thought of being in a veterinary clinic for me, would've been too stressful. Traumer still lingers from my last dog aged 13, dying in my arms at another clinic. This was a joy & well woth it. Calm pooch, calm owner, great vet. Thank you Laurence

We had a fantastic experience with First Paw Mobile Vet when our large dog developed an eye infection. Dr Lawrence was super professional yet personal and took great care to make both humans and animal comfortable. He was delicate and very knowledgeable, and not having to leave ourhour was a great bonus. I would highly recommend this vet.

Laurence was brilliant - being pandemic times, he made sure to limit the amount of time spent in the apartment by having a phone chat prior to coming up. Very professional, knowledgeable and super friendly, even though Roxy wasn’t the happiest after getting her vaccination, I’m sure she was very glad to avoid the car trip to the vet!Such an easy process of booking, made the whole experience wonderful.

Laurence was very through and caring. He was respectful of my dogs attitude to strangers and in particulary vets without neglecting him.He asked lots of question to be able to understand my dogs issues. Happy how the experience went as there was no stressful scenes trying to get my dog to a vet. Also checked on my elderly cats and didn't seem distressed by the experience. Laurence was awesome. My cat, Muse, who was adopted from the RSCPA started to have a bit of nausea. Laurence was able to come to us after 6pm, (during the COVID lockdowns as well) to give Muse a check up. Text message follow ups are also really personable. Muse seemed to warm up to a vet rather quickly and was much more relaxed at home. Will be using Laurence for future check ups!

Can’t express enough how great Vet Laurence is - he’s incredibly thorough, caring, knowledgeable and really takes the time to explain everything to you. His online booking platform is also incredibly seamless - I booked a phone consultation on the day of and paid with PayPal - took about 2 minutes. My partner and I were both saying we wish he was our doctor, as the level of care is far superior to any GP we’ve ever had! 😂 all in all a great experience and we will continue to use Laurence as our primary Vet for our little Chips.

We booked last minute on a Friday night and Dr Laurence was here exactly on time Saturday morning. We had just adopted our very skittish cat and Dr Laurence handled him with such care. I really appreciated the follow up texts a few day later. I will only be using First Paw in future for the convenience and affordability (not much more than I've paid for in office visits which can be traumatic for both pet and owner). I highly recommend Dr Laurence!

My little doggy "George" needed a doctor and I'm new to Melbourne and wasn't sure where to go. Dr Laurence came to the rescue and was very professional and thorough. Dr. Laurence responds to his messages/calls super quick making it easy to book a checkup for my 2 new cats. He gave me lost of advice and tips on how to keep them in top health, and seems really knowledgeable.It was incredibly convenient for me as the cats are quite timid, and it seems that they were more comfortable as the checkup was in an environment they were semi-familiar with. Dr. Laurence and his professional, empathetic and calming nature has become an instant friend to our two dogs. Aside from his professionalism, punctuality and amazing vet knowledge he is a naturally endearing person who made our 14 year old lab feel at ease while he thoroughly checked her out, and engaged with our children and us as if we had known him forever. The trauma of trying to get an ageing Lab with bad legs into a 4wd to go to the vet is horrible, but having Laurence come to us for a highly reasonable fee has made such a difference to us. Sadly there will come a time in the future that we will have to farewell our old girl and it brings peace of mind to my family that we have Laurence to go through this painful time with. We can't recommend him highly enough and wish we had found him sooner.

The best part...all in the comfort of our home! So my dog experienced less stress & was much more comfortable than when we have to head to the vet, which of course made me less stressed too! I moved to the city about a year ago and it's not very convenient to get 2 cats and a puppy to the vet!I looked on Google and came across First Paw - booking online was extremely simple and offered great hours of availability.Laurence himself is very patient - my puppy is wriggly, one cat hates strangers and the other loves to go through all the equipment! - and very methodical whilst also getting things done quickly to reduce their stress.Very pleased and would recommend his services to anyone :)

We were delighted to welcome Dr Laurence to visit our two 11-year-old dogs at home. We were not disappointed. A visit to the vet is not a happy day for them or us, and our golden retriever, in particular, becomes very stressed. However, both dogs welcomed their new friend, who quickly created an atmosphere of calm and ease. Despite some prodding, etc, both remained relaxed, comfortable and happy. Dr Laurence was very thorough, knowledgeable and inclusive. He answered questions and invited discussion and the entire visit was unhurried and relaxed.
